Adopt Terrapin, Save Terrapin

Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS) carries out River Terrapin Conservation Project in the Kemaman River, Terengganu. Through this project and with the collaboration with the local communities, a maximum number of river terrapin eggs are secured for incubation. Upon emergence, the river terrapin hatchlings are raised for approximately four to five months before they are also released into the river.

Every year, as part of our fund-raising efforts, we put up our river terrapins for adoption. Each terrapin adoption costs RM35, and you will be furnished with a personalised Certificate of Adoption. You are also encouraged to name your adopted terrapin(s)*! All funds raised through the Terrapin Adoption Programme will be used to carry out river and painted terrapin conservation projects in the future.

*After your order is completed, we will contact you via email for details of the certificate and name of your adopted terrapin.
