Dugong Plush Toy

Dugongs are found in the tropical and subtropical coastal waters of the Indo-Pacific region. Dugongs live strictly in the marine environment and they feed solely on seagrass. Dugongs are known as “sea cows”, and are close relatives of manatees and elephants. MareCet has been researching and advocating for the conservation of this species in Malaysia since 2014.

Our dugong plush toys are lovely as your cuddly companion and they make a great gift too! These plush toys are handmade by local women in our community and the purchase of these go toward supporting MareCet’s marine conservation efforts as well as livelihood of local women community.

– Each plush toy is unique in its fabric design (motifs placement, gradient/mixture of colours) as the materials were cut out from large pieces of batik fabrics with varying motifs and colour gradients/mixtures
